What I found in Buyeo
The first work begins with a question: ‘If I could return to Baekje two thousand years ago, how would I come to know this place?’ Making by hand, looking closely and moving through the town offered a way into history through kilns, roof ornaments, paper fans, patterned pizza, a museum and a traditional yellow-sailed boat.
The second work connects culture with everyday life, ultimately returning to people. It records long-time residents, people returning home to start businesses, and newcomers gradually understanding the town and building relationships.
