What I found in Buyeo
The second work explores how people learn to live locally through failures and small attempts. Like building a stone cairn, they gather people gradually, start again when things fall, find a connection between themselves and the place, and hold one another’s hands in difficult moments.
Living alongside people in Buyeo also brought personal growth. The filmmaker hoped to take the town’s ideas and rich emotional impressions back to Taiwan.
